Just trying to fix my pinging.
Just trying to fix my pinging.
I think that we should start a blogger tour. First, I see Divaquest since she lives like a block away. No, we haven’t met yet. Crazy, but anyway. Oh, and FabricPrincess is also in Austin. Gotta meet her. Then, I’ll go over to Houston and meet SJ and Yogagirl. Then, I’ll dip down South and see Shaunacat. Then, it’s due East for cute little Otter in Tennessee and then I’ll go up Northeast and see Kristielicious. How far is Indiana from Virginia? Cause I’d like to see Skigg too. That’s just the Eastern leg of the tour.
Keep in mind that I have a booty ass web cam and these pics are like ten hours after I had the test makeup done, but I think I like it. And that would be my new ebay tiara in the third pic.

I am attached to a sick mind, I tell you. I finished addressing all of the wedding invites and all I can think is as soon as I put them in the mailbox, THERE IS NO GOING BACK. I’m for really real going to have a different last name. One that is not phonetically correct. I am off the market forever. Is it bad that scares me just a little? Love you, babe, when you read this. Just a little weird is all.
Apparently, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie are no longer BFF (best friends forever). Paris wants to replace Nicole on the next Simple Life with Kimberly Stewart, Rod Stewart’s hideously ugly daughter. That show would not even be funny with Nicole. What is Paris thinking?
The wedding outfit is complete. I got the vampiest dang shoes tonight. Okay, here’s the lineup. Whatcha think? Don’t forget that my hair will be done and I’ll have a veil.
I know I’ve mentioned my penchant for lists and list making. It keeps me sane. Without my lists, I could not function. I keep little journal type notebooks and carry them with me all over the house and then in my purse. There is only one of them at a time though. Kind of like a day planner, only I tear the pages out when I’m done with that list. I tend to reorganize my lists sometimes so day planners don’t work out for me. I have had about twelve or so of these little books in the past two years. I just started a new cute one that Sam gave me. It’s an Aries one. It’s got really nice big perfectly square pages. Places like Ross and Tuesday Morning are the best places to buy these books.
Anyway, my weekend was baby packed adventures. First, was Lissa’s shower on Saturday afternoon. It was nice. It wasn’t the one that I am throwing. That one is in two weeks. This one was lady’s only and it was mostly older ladies. Lots of sugar to get my day started for baby day/part two. I babysat for my friend’s nine month old son. I’ve spoke about this friend before and she’s really OCD. So, she tells me that I am babysitting and then tells her little brother that he is babysitting so that we will both be there. How’s that for trust? Anyway, the night was okay, but it really was physically tiring. He would not go to sleep and stay asleep for me either. He was so upset. Anyway, so I will not be TRYING to get pregnant anytime in the very near future is the real point there.
Hope you all had a great weekend. The weather here was great!
The other night, I am in the garage cleaning out my truck and Mazzy gets her big butt up in it with me. Then, I get out and SHE WILL NOT GET OUT. This went on for probably a good thirty minutes or so. Here’s the photographic proof.
We all know I’m superstitious. So, the "Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue and a Sixpence in your shoe" thing is driving me batty.
I did some research last night and here is what all of that junk stands for. Then I’ll tell you what I plan to have for the ones I can actually think of something for. You have to help me, Internet, on the other ones.
OLD: The "old" item represents something you are leaving behind or something that is being passed down to you. I am thinking of wearing some pearl earrings that my Dad gave me when I was in the third grade getting my tonsils out.
NEW: The "new" item represents something you are adopting through your marriage or something that is unique to your new union. I don’t know what to do for this one. This apparently cannot be my new ring or my new name.
BORROWED: The "borrowed" item should be symbolic of something you respect or admire about someone or something. Since we aren’t doing a traditional wedding where I wear a dress or any of that, I can’t really borrow a hankerchief. I really need help with this one.
BLUE: Blue symbolises of faithfulness and loyalty. Blue represents the protection and holiness of the Virgin Mary. I am going to have my manicurist glue a blue rhinestone on both of my big toes. Cute and me.
I ordered a real live sixpence from ebay to put in my shoe. Covered there.
So please help with borrowed and new.
Isn’t it wierd how some things really bother some people that other people never think about? I have tons and tons of them, but here are SOME of my pet peeves. What are some of yours?
1. I hate it when we go get something to eat from a fast food restaurant and the person holding the bag starts eating things out of it. Generally, this occurs with the fries.
2. I hate to be cold when I eat. I like it freezing in my house any other time, but when I eat, it disturbs me.
3. I cannot stand when people shuffle their feet when they walk.
4. The hair in the drain makes me gag. Not the regular hair, but when I have to take the drain apart because there is so much hair down in it. If you have long hair or a wife that does, you know what I am talking about.
Somehow you managed to get around cutting the grass and taking care of the outside of the house for almost the whole time we have lived here. Starting May 9, it is your sole responsibility. I expect you to spray for bugs, pick up dog poop, and mow and edge the yard. I will take care of all your laundry and all the cleaning and cook you stuff. Thank you in advance.
Your best gal,
Dawn
Proof that it’s my birthday would be eye makeup and hair down. My hair looks purple in the pics but it’s really really a bright red. And look at how tiny my ipod suffle is. I also got some Coco Chanel perfume and this gorgeous floral arrangment from Tracy. Lissa got me a cool bag with all these pink and green
goodies with a fun summer theme. Steak was great too.
I just got flowers from my niece who is so very like me it’s not even funny. Look at this pic and tell me that we don’t look alike. She’s almost 15. Love you, girl.
