About the Wedding

Img_6874_copy I love this picture so much.  I ordered it from the photographer with a really neat border in 11×13 size.  Damn, wedding pictures are expensive for real.  I’ll have a link in a few minutes for you to see all of them once shutterfly uploads them all.

Okay, about the big day.  It was wonderful.  Hectic, but wonderful. The night before the wedding, my Mom and Dad and 16 year old niece came down.  My friend since I’ve been 6, her Mom, and her two girls also came to visit.  It was so awesome to see them all and just hang out and be silly.  We went to dinner that night at Cheddar’s and Elvee sat at the kids table and colored placemats.  He is such a child, I swear.

Next day (wedding day) I went at 11 and got my hair done and it turned out awesome.  Terry at Salon Si Beau in Austin is one of the BEST for updos.  Then, we all (family and niece and Tracy) went to have lunch at Jardin Corona (hole in the wall/awesome Mexican food).  Then, I went home to make the "I do" shirts and us girls got dressed.  During this time, my brother calls to start up some family drama cause he’s a huge piece of shit and Elvee calls to tell me that he lost my Mom’s credit card at Wal-Mart.  The only credit card that we have to pay for anything.  So, my blood pressure is through the roof.  Elvee and my Dad were out getting last minute crap done like meeting up with vendors and paying them and getting the kegs.  My Dad is a real hard ass about money, so I didn’t even want him to know about the lost credit card.  Elvee had to tell him, so they went back to W-mart and someone had turned it in!  I then went to the wedding site to bring a few things such as the favors that I made and the champagne flutes.

At 3, I go to get my make-up done at Sak’s.  I went for a test session with this girl and made the appointment back in April.  I show up though and she called in sick for the day.  Of course, she did.  So, they take me to the Armani counter and this boy did my makeup.  He did such an awesome job.  He totally saved my day.  So, then I go home to get dressed in my wedding getup.

All that part went fine, but we were all hot and sweaty cause it was 100 degrees outside and we were going in and out of the heat.  So, we get there with our whole crew in tow and decide to sit in the air conditioned part while the guests got seated in the Pavilion area.  You have to walk past this particular room to go to the Pavilion, so everyone was coming in there instead of going out to the Pavilion.  We finally usher everyone out and there are other people sitting out at the Pavilion thinking that no one showed up.  That was kind of a mess.  Anyway, me and my Dad walk out there and stand at our spot to wait for the music (Sarah Maclaughin/Angel).  The music starts and Elvee is already crying.  Too funny.  He cried through the entire vows and then I made our minister have us pinky swear.  That was really cute and everyone cracked up.

Then, it was reception time.  We went inside to cut the cakes (which were major suck ass and burnt and looked like a two year old iced them - I got my money back).  Elvee totally put cake all up in my face and up my nose even though we agreed not too, but whatever.  Then, we changed into our t-shirts and shorts.  We had our first dance, but no one else danced at all.  That part was weird.  Then, everything got cleaned up and a few of us were hanging out waiting for the Margarita machine man to come pick them up and we were pretty toasted.  So, I jump in the pool.  No one else joined me.   I remembered to take off my jewelry but I left my new cell phone in my pocket.  I blow dried it out though and now it works.

Then, we came home to my house and all hung out till like 4 am and aggrevated my parents and kept them up.

The next day, all of the out of towners came over and we ate left over fajitas and hung out and I opened our gifts.  Elvee took the girls (8 and 12) to Dave and Buster’s to play video games and to get donuts and ice cream (yeah, I know).

All in all, really great day.  I am glad it’s over now though.
